1. WHITE WINE: Variety: Chardonnay  
 

Colour : Light to medium yellowish.

Areas of cultivation in Greece :  Central Greece , Evia , Pelloponese 

Wines produced : Regional wine ( VdP ) , Traditional wine .  

Comments : Newly imported variety that participates lately in a small degree in Regional wines ( VdP).

Volatile acidity; Total acidity of 0.58 grams per 100 mL (0.58%) and a pH of 3.4.

 
2. ROZE WINE:  Variety: Agiorgitiko & Asyrtiko    
 
A. Agiorgitiko
 

Colour : Dark red

Areas of cultivation in Greece : Exclusively cultivated in Nemea's territory, which includes Nemea , Ancient Nemea , Ancient Kleones , Leontio , Gymno , Malandreni , Petri , Aidonia , Galatas , Koutsi , Kastraki , Mpozika , Titani , Asprokampos , Psari , Skotini.   

Wines produced :   Appellation of High-quality Origin ( A.O.)  Nemea

Comments : This variety is cultivated in this area from the ancient times. It was named as ' fliasios' variety after the produced Fliasios wine. We can separate three different qualities according to the altitude of the cultivation : 

  • 1rst Valley region with an altitude of 250-300 meters.

  • 2nd Semi-mountain region with an altitude of 300-600 meters.This zone produces the finest wines. 

  • 3rd Mountain region with an altitude of 650-800 meters. The produced wines are of  low volume , high acidity  and light colour .

   Any efforts to cultivate this variety in other regions did not have the expected results.

            
B. Asyrtiko
 

Colour : Light yellowish

Areas of cultivation in Greece : Thrace , Cyclades , Makedonia and Pelloponese   

Wines produced :Appellation of High-quality Origin ( A.O.) Santorini , A.O. Melitona's hillsides , Regional (VdP) and Traditional wines.   

Comments :The produced wine is A.O. Santorini ( white , dry ) , A.O.. Melitona's  hillsides ( white , dry ) in combination with Athiri and Roditis.

Areas of cultivation : Cultivated in all winemaking areas of Greece.  

Wines produced : Appellation of High-quality Origin ( A.O) Limnos , Appellation of Controlled Origin  (A.O.C) Muscat Patras , A.O.C Muscat Rio Patras , A.O.C. Muscat Kefallonia , A.O.C. Muscat Rhodes , A.O.C. Muscat Limnos , A.O.C Muscat Samos ,Traditional wines . 

Comments :  A.O Limnos ( White, Dry), all A.O.C wines are white, sweet .

 
2. ROZE WINE:Variety: Moschofilero & Roditis
 

A. Moschofilero

 

Colour : Medium to dark red

Areas of cultivation : Arcadia , Achaia , Korinthia , Messinia.  

Wines produced :  Appellation of High-quality Origin ( A.O) Mantineia , Traditional wines . 

Comments : It is a red variety that produces a white dry wine , A.O. Mantinia  in combination with Asprouda. .

 
B. Roditis
 

Colour : Light to medium yellowish

Areas of cultivation : Cultivated in all winemaking areas of Greece.

Wines produced :  Appellation of High-quality Origin (A.O) Patras , A.O. Anhialos , A.O. Melitona's hillsides , Regional wines ( VdP) , Traditional wines.

Comments : A.O. Anhialos ( white , dry )in combination with Savvatiano and A.O Melitona's hillsides ( white , dry ) in combination with Athiri and Assyrtico .It is the second most widely cultivated wine variety after Asprouda .
